Bob Dylan - Going, Going, Gone (Planet Waves)

I've just reached a place
Where the willow don't bend.
There's not much more to be said
It's the top of the end.
I'm going,
I'm going,
I'm gone.

I'm closin' the book
On the pages and the text
And I don't really care
What happens next.
I'm just going,
I'm going,
I'm gone.

I been hangin' on threads,
I been playin' it straight,
Now, I've just got to cut loose
Before it gets late.
So I'm going,
I'm going,
I'm gone.

Grandma said, "Boy, go and follow your heart
And you'll be fine at the end of the line.
All that's gold isn't meant to shine.
Don't you and your one true love ever part."

I been walkin' the road,
I been livin' on the edge,
Now, I've just got to go
Before I get to the ledge.
So I'm going,
I'm just going,
I'm gone.

There are no words to describe this version, this song, this whole album, it's just a treasure, the most magical album ever by anyone...it's just so rich, so beautiful, soul-healing, magical... been coming back to this ever since I discovered it when I was 14, impossible to get tired of it, always lifts me up. Still remember the first time I heard the opening notes from Changing of the guards..was just blown away, had to stop and listen to it one minute at a time, too much excitment! Thanks Bob

He doesn´t take prisoners, does he? The way he gets more and more agitated is so Dylan. Nobody else can do this.

because dyland doesn't write 'pop songs' that are radio friendly. his music requires a level of sophistication that most radio stations are not willing to risk these days. Having said that, I think he got a lot of radio play when he was younger.
